The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe is dedicated and committed to saving lives and to preserving the safety, health and welfare of all people who live on, work on and visit our reservation and to the preservation of our lands, environment and our culture.
In order to save lives, protect property, natural and cultural resources and the environment during an emergency or disaster and to recover from emergencies and disasters the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe has the responsibility to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for emergency preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
The purpose of this plan is to formally establish the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe’s emergency organization for preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. This plan will be used to guide current and future efforts to effectively and efficiently mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from all hazards that could have a direct and serious and substantial effect on our political and cultural integrity, economic security, health and welfare of the Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe, it’s members and all person present on the Reservation.
