The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe Behavioral Health program strives to service our people and the community at large through teamwork that encourages personal growth in a safe environment. The counseling process allows individuals to cultivate, challenge and dare to create a lifestyle greater than the average while incorporating and respecting culture, beliefs and spiritual needs. Our long term vision is to continue to work with families and individuals who struggle on life’s path and to provide holistic and culturally responsive services including all aspects of the Medicine Wheel. Our staff is dedicated to helping people discover their unique potential and to strengthen their family and community relationships throughout the life span.
Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe Mental Health Program offers services for many life circumstances. Our counselors clinically assess and treat clients for couples’ challenges, adolescent behavior problems, grief and loss, suicide prevention, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect, families living with chronic illness, substance abuse and intimate relationships, and much more.
Our Mental Health prescriber provides medication management services for adolescents, young adults and adults. All of our clients and recordkeeping are handled with strict confidentiality and care.
While providing evidence-based addiction treatment services, we at Shoalwater Bay SUD program strives to provide excellence in our treatment approaches for individuals and families that are affected by substance abuse or addiction.
We all have hopes and dreams, and unfortunately for those affected by substance abuse or the disease of addiction, dreams are too often unfulfilled.
We believe the sooner an individual chooses treatment and enters in to the recovery process, the greater the probability of resuming a healthy and productive life.
We believe in treating the whole person in our approach to addiction services. This is exemplified through our attitude and approach to our care. We at Shoalwater Bay Chemical Dependency Program embrace, encourage, and support the family's role in the recovery process.
