Summary

This position will work with appropriate staff to address clinical gaps associated with current policy and procedures as they relate to community health within departments of the Wellness Center. Assist appropriate staff with policies and procedures within the Wellness Center to the most recent clinical standards. Help identify current or impending challenges with policies and procedures, then work to improve, replace, or create new polices that address the issues. Work in an electronic platform for ensuring centralized management of policies and procedures. Work with contractors as necessary.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review with each department current Policies and Procedures to determine if they are up to date with current business standards.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in current Policies and Procedures within each department.
  • Work with appropriate staff to improve, replace or create new policies and procedures.
  • Work with an electronic platform for ensuring centralized management of policies and procedures.
  • In some instances, will be moving policy and procedures from a paper version to an electronic version.
  • Work with outside contractors as necessary.
  • Attend training courses on-site or off-site as necessary.
  • Reports on health and safety hazards noticed to Health Director.
  • Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities as requested.
  • Observes strict patient confidentiality, and all pertinent requirements of HIPAA and any other confidentiality regulations.
  • Maintains current, active, valid, unrestricted Washington State licensure and CEU’s (as necessary).
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Participates in the Tribe’s quality improvement and planning activities as necessary.
  • Works cooperatively with the Health Director, Wellness Center Staff.
  • Performs any additional reasonable roles and responsibilities as determined necessary by the Health Director.

Experience and Eduction

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Word/Excel.

Skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

Valid, current, and unrestricted Washington State Driver’s License.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and risk of electrical shock, work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places.  The noise level of this is position is moderate and includes the noise associated with running vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooers.  Tasks that involve possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids or tissues.  Possible exposure to communicable diseases.  Wearing of protective equipment, such as gloves is required.

Benefits

Must be a good communicator, ability to multi-task and be proficient in Word/Excel. Training off and on site may be required to perform the job duties.

  • The rate of Pay is $28.85/hr. with benefits after 90 days.
  • Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30
